+ This is a tarot deck inspired by the Bel Epoch era, printed on gloss coated paper. This unique and hand-drawn deck was a three-year art project made by Taroforetell. The illustrator and creator, going by the name Petorly, has been a graphic designer for 15 years now and a tarot professional for three decades. This project is imbued with the meaning behind a revelation the author experienced more than ten years ago, during his ‘dance with Death’, as he describes it. Lying on a hospital bed, suffering from a seemingly incurable disease, and no hope of recovery, he was made privy to an eternal secret: the true meaning of life is hidden beneath the beauty and love we experience. We are grateful now that we could tap into his wisdom, expertise, and journey. In the realm of tarot, nestled between the pages of time, emerges a deck that draws its breath from the Bel Epoch era, its images gracing the pages with a sheen of gloss-coated allure. Orlin Hristov, a name whispered like a secret, fashioned this treasure over a span of three years. The mastermind, known as Petorly, a veteran of graphic design for a decade and a half, and a sage of the tarot realm for a solid thirty years, has bestowed upon us a creation woven with the threads of his own revelation – a revelation born more than a decade ago during his intimate tango with Death, as he recounts. Picture it: a hospital bed, the weight of an incurable ailment bearing down, hope a distant memory. In those shadows, he unraveled an eternal enigma: life's true meaning, a clandestine passenger beneath the veneer of beauty and love that we so fervently pursue.
