+ Welcome to our Corrupted Collection III: Corrupted Tarot by Wyrmwood. Every year on Halloween, Wyrmwood launches a project in honor of the spooky season. In past campaigns we have featured some incredible work from artists like Crystal Sully and Frank Frazetta. However, this campaign brings that to a whole new level. We have brought together over seventy artists to create a delightfully corrupted deck of Tarot Cards. The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each with its own imagery, symbolism and story. The 22 Major Arcana cards represent life's karmic and spiritual lessons, and the 56 Minor Arcana cards reflect the trials and tribulations that we experience on a daily basis. Tarot has a rich history that dates back hundreds of years. From knights gambling, to creating a narrative, to collecting the art, to seeing your future - the Tarot can be used in many ways! The Major Arcana contains the most archetypal cards in Tarot. If the Minor Arcana speaks to our daily lives and the struggles we face achieving our various goals or coping with our problems, the Major Arcana- the trump cards- are like the constellations in the sky or the gods and goddesses that fill the pantheons of the world. Like the cycle of a myth, the Major Arcana takes us on a journey that has no true beginning or end. In the Corrupted Tarot, the Major Arcana cards have been reversed and their darker natures revealed, but it’s important to remember that, like any fairy tale or constellation or myth, this story is still meant to help us navigate out of the darkness. Our guides may just be a little frightening.
