+ ☆ This 2nd edition is a fan-made, full 78 card playable tarot deck, with bonus Crying Breakfast Friends card. The 2nd edition has various character art updated from the 1st edition version. ☆ The Future Vision Gem Tarot is a full tarot deck with both major and minor arcana. Some people might feel that tarot based on a cartoon is silly or gimmicky but you can absolutely do serious, impactful readings with this deck. The characters for the majors were well chosen. Some are obvious, like Garnet as The Lovers, some are amusing, like DogCopter as The Wheel of Fortune, and some, like the imagery on The Tower, hold surprising depth through their references to the show. The minor arcana follow traditional suit names and card meanings. Each suit is represented by one of the Crystal Gems. This makes some of the color coding for each a bit different than most decks. For example wands is mostly purple instead of red, yellow, or orange tones. This makes a lot of sense when you think about the characters chosen, however. The suit of cups is represented by Garnet, the suit of wands is represented by Amethyst, the suit of pentacles is represented by Steven, and the suit of swords is represented by Pearl.
