+ L'Œil de L'Âme (French, in which the transliteration means Eye of the Soul, but in cantonese, we refer to this synonymously as 'the Third Eye'), refers to both the intuitive elements within each card as well as the method in which you need to read them. The cards, based on the RWS deck, are delicately illustrated with watercolor on paper over the course of two years and are the illustrative manifestations of how I view the world. I've divided the deck into three major sections as an easier way for myself to understand the cards as well; The Major Arcana, The Minor Arcana, and the Court Cards. - all images are print-ready thumbnails and therefore have wider borders because of bleeding- The Major Arcana The Major Arcana is a set of 22 cards that explain the larger truths of the universe and therefore rule the major turn of events in our lives. It's also why the cards are a lot more brighter and detailed to aid in describing the nuances. The Minor Arcana For the Minor Arcana, I've further divided them into two sections; Aces up to Tens, and the Court Cards. The first ten cards of each suite are in black and white due to their nature of being small, minor events and details in life -- in a way, they're to help explain further the interpretations from the Major Arcana. The Court Cards (Part of the Minor Arcana) The Court Cards, instead, do not really illustrate events or situations, but people. They are personality or 'face' cards as they call it. Which is also why I did them in monochromatic colours according to which suite they're from.
