There cannot be light without darkness. But darkness must ultimately lead to light. A unique Tarot deck printed on metal old premium cardstock. Inspired by the Ars Notoria (Notory Art), the fifth book of the Lemegeton - the Lesser Key of Salomon. As there is shadow, there is light. The Ars Notoria Tarot focuses on Angels and the forces of light, following an esoteric, alchemIcal and psychological interpretation of the ancient lore. The deck is a mirror of Goetia - Tarot in Darkness - and can be enjoyed either as a complement to Goetia or as a stand alone masterpiece. After the night comes a golden dawn, and bright will be the world under the sky. 78 Cards: 78 Angels from the Ars Notoria and ancient Christian and Jewish Lore. A unique Tarot deck, weaving ancient mysteries and alchemical lore with modern brilliant art. The symbols that crowd each Arcana become the gateways for a deeper psychological approach embracing the eternal dance of opposition and trascendence, between the light and the dark: in the world as well as in the human soul. 78 Tarot Cards. Gold metal cardstock. Sized 70x120 mm. With a complete and exhaustive companion book. The inspiration comes from the Lamegeton, or Clavicula Salomonis Regis (lesser Key of Salomon), an ancient Grimore, allegedly written by King Salomon himself. The Angels depicted in the Arcana are metaphysical mirrors to the cards of the Goetia - Tarot in Darkness. While Notoria - Tarot in Light is a stand alone Tarot masterpiece, the two decks together explore the duality of darkness and light. Notoria is about the light. White, Gold and Red (and Black) are the colors of this deck. White, gold and red (and black) are the colors of this deck. Each of these colors follows a precise alchemical symbolism. The material of the card is a special metal gold cardstock, printed with 5 colors (compared to the 4 colors of normal printing) and laminated for a perfect finish. The metal sheen will provide an elegant and unearthly brilliance to each Arcana. They symbolize the power of clarity and truth contained in light. The deck will be packaged in a sumptuous white and gold box, with its companion book. The deck draws inspiration from the ancient Christian and Jewish angelic traditions, as well as the lore of medieval Grimories such the Ars Notoria and the Lesser Key of Salomon. Following in the footsteps of its twin deck - Goetia, Tarot in Darkness - Notoria brings the esoteric research of Tarot masters like Eliphas Levi and Aleister Crowley into the modern age, opening them to a psychological approach and interpretation. The deck can be used as a normal Tarot deck, even if it does not follow the traditional iconography. Each Tarot card contains several items of information and esoteric lore, which are clearly described in the companion book. There is a symbolic relationship between the cards of Notoria - Tarot in Light and the cards of Goetia. The relationship adds a layer of interpretation and understanding to the cards, but it is not necessary to have both in order to enjoy Notoria Tarot to the fullest. For example, in the Arcana number 43 (corresponding to the Knight of Swords), the Angel Veuliah is depicted raising the severed head of a defeated Demon. The demon has the same semblance as Sabnock, card 43 and Knight of Swords in the deck Goetia - Tarot in Darkness.
