+ This deck began as a whim and evolved into something I'm particularly proud of. A Redditor saw an illustration of Dream that I'd made and casually suggested that they'd love to have a whole deck full of similar art deco imagery. Challenge accepted. It seems that a lot of other people had a Sandman gap that needed filling, especially because there are little to no collectibles available. Cheering from the sidelines kept me glued to this project and helped see it to the end. After months of diligently producing Sandman-inspired illustrations, this custom tarot deck is finally ready for production. Each deck contains 78 lushly illustrated cards and comes in a tuck box. The classic Rider-Waite Tarot helped divine the imagery found in this deck, which features lore, characters and mythology related to the meaning of each card. The Major Arcana are full-color, deco-styled portraits, while the Minor Arcana are lively ink illustrations. Each of the Court cards features a different color theme that varies by suit. Here are the basics: Full 78-card tarot deck featuring illustrations inspired by The Sandman. Every illustration is an original by artist, Shannon Hochman. The cards are the standard tarot size, 4.75"×2.75". All 22 Major Arcana cards are full color character portraits with vintage flair. All 40 Pip Cards are lively black and white ink illustrations inspired by each card's particular meaning. All 16 Court Cards (or Face Cards) are color themed based on suit. Swords are green, Pentacles are red, Cups are yellow and Wands are blue. The uniform backside of every card is a mysterious purple-blue motif featuring a mirrored image of Morpheus. All interpretations are based on the popular Rider-Waite tarot deck.
