+ In the Fall of 2019 (a more innocent time), I started creating tarot themed collages. At the time, I only wanted to do a few card designs and move on; I wasn't really interested in completing an entire deck. I have worked in digital collage for a while now, but hadn't gone into a project as specific and extensive as a custom Tarot deck before. However, with the start of the pandemic and the loss of my job, I found myself with more free time than ever before. So it was the perfect (or maybe just rare) opportunity to dedicate myself to such an expansive and detailed project. My happy to say that over the past several months, I have design my own original tarot deck, The New Immortals, and I could not be more excited and proud! With my designs, I wanted to create a mythical fantasy world that the cards and their figures share. With my deck, I will be including a small booklet with a backstory for the characters and worlds featured on my cards. I hope to give my supporters a tarot deck that feels original, imaginative and personal.
